30 Days Of Truth - Day 18: Your Views On Gay Marriage

30 Days Of TruthLet me start by saying these are my views, my thoughts, so please respect them. I am all for gay marriage. Everyone is entitled to spending their lives together regardless of race, and those that want to spend their lives together want to spend it in an arrangement called a marriage. There are many reasons for wanting to be in a marriage, everyone has their own. I feel that homosexuals aka gays should have the same rights as heterosexuals in a marriage. They are spending their lives together, doing just about everything that a heterosexual couple would do. They may not have kids, but they sure can raise them, they can love them, just like anyone else. So since the gay couples are doing all this, they need to be on the same insurance as well. Be able to be the next of kin if one of them should fall ill and be hospitalised, do you see where I am going with this?

I know there are a lot of people out there, that want to follow the bible and they claim that being gay is a sin and all of that. That's fine for them, they can believe anything they want. I think religion should be kept out of it. The two should have nothing to do with one another. We were put on this earth to be happy and prosper, if it means loving someone of the same sex, so be it. Seriously who are you to tell someone how to live their life, will you be sitting in their home watching their every move? NO of course not, so get off your homophobic trip and let them be. I strongly believe this because I have a few friends that are gay, and my sister is gay. And I will always stand up for her, and equality for all people. If you don't agree with what I say that's fine, I'm not here to debate about it, because I will win lol. NO seriously I'm just here to share my views/thoughts on the topic, and that's my two cents on this topic :)

Did We Get Lucky? Or Is It A Sign Of What's Ahead?

I'm sure you all heard yesterday about the Solar Flare that was to happen at 1am EST? I did, and I did stay up, waiting to see if something happened. And since I'm writing this, and you all are up and around, nothing really big happened, not even knocking out the grid, but there are plenty of people that worry about it each and everyday. After seeing it on TV last night, yeah of course I worried, I'm a paranoid person haha no I'm not but I do wonder about a lot of things, as so many of us do. I didn't take it too serious because I seen it mentioned once last night on the news, and then again this morning. So should I rely on the news to tell me everything? Hah! Probably not. We need to stay informed, and being told something is going to happen in a matter of hours, is just not enough notice!!

What is a Solar Flare, as quoted from csmonitor.com

A strong geomagnetic storm is racing from the Sun toward Earth, and its arrival on Thursday could affect power grids, airplane routes and space-based satellite navigation systems, U.S. space weather experts said.

The storm, a big cloud of charged particles flung from the Sun at about 4.5 million miles per hour (7.2 million km per hour), was spawned by a pair of solar flares, scientists said.

This is probably the strongest such event in nearly six years, and is likely more intense than a similar storm in late January, said Joseph Kunches, a space weather specialist at the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

It sounds scary doesn't it? Remember my post about Doomsday Preppers? Well maybe they got something here. Should we be worried? Yeah we should. Should we be prepared? Why not, it doesn't hurt to be prepared within reason. It's a scary thought, but thank goodness, nothing big happened like the grid going out.

I don't even want to imagine it happening, especially if my loved ones aren't home with me. I imagine if it did, how would I contact them? How long would it take them to get here, to me? Do you ever wonder that? I do sometimes, and I worry also. But I know that our wonderful country here, have all that in mind, and are prepared to help us if such a thing does happen, or are they? Another question to yet ponder about.

Patience Is Really A Virtue!

I can have patience at times, but other times, it have none what so ever. Is it an age thing? Or is it just all the BS we had to live with, that you get to a point when 'Enough is enough'? I could be both in some cases. I have seen that over the years my patience has grown shorter. But I think about the things that I lose my patience with, and I think to myself, 'My gosh, how can they be so stupid? It's common sense!', I know I shouldn't think like that, but sometimes I do. I'll be honest, it has happened many times. I try to walk away when that happens to cool down. I hate stupid people, and you know, it's not that they are stupid, not at all, it's that I don't have the patience like I used to.

I hope to get a grip on that, and really to be honest, I think it happens when I'm doing a lot of stuff, and I have my mind set on something, and I get interrupted, or someone doesn't answer my question intelligently (I know, I'm so full of myself), and then when that happens. I just lose it for a moment. I don't do this to strangers or anything like that. It's usually someone I know. Haha, did I scare you off now? No, I'm making myself out to be really bad and I'm not :) I suppose I should tell myself 'Breathe In, Breathe Out'. That should do the work and calm me down.

How do you calm yourself down? Do you lose your patience easily?
