U is for Underworld: Awakening #AtoZChallenge

I have been a long time fan of the Underworld films, and I can't wait to see Underworld: Awakening, this is my choice for the A to Z Challenge for today. There were a lot of other good films, but since I really love these type of films, this was my choice. Kate Beckinsale is such an amazing actress, I love her in these films (I know she didn't make an appearance in Underworld: Rise of the Lycans), I've seen her in a few others films, but I think the role of Selene, was made for her, don't you think? Well I do, she did amazing in all the films. So if you haven't seen the first 3 then you must go check them out! These are part of my DVD collection, and once Underworld: Awakening comes out on DVD which is in May 2012, it will be part of my collection as well!

Mankind discover the existence of the Vampire and Lycan species and they begin a war to annihilate the races. When Selene meets with Michael in the harbor, they are hit by a grenade and Selene passes out. Twelve years later, Selene awakes from a cryogenic sleep in the Antigen laboratory and meets the Vampire Thomas (Charles Dance). She learns that she had been the subject of the scientist Dr. Jacob Lane (Stephen Rea) and the Vampire and Lycan species have been practically eradicated from Earth. But Selene is still connected to Michael and has visions that she believes that belongs to Michael's sight. However she has a surprise and finds that she has a powerful daughter named Eve (India Eisley) that has been raised in the laboratory. Now Selene and Thomas have to protect Eve against the Lycans that intend to use her to inoculate their species against silver.

I'm rather excited to see this, I know I should of gone to see it at the theater but I had a lot of other things to do, and see, that I couldn't but seeing it on my T.V. is going to be better, because I can see it whenever I want, and as many times as I want. I'll probably turn out seeing it at least 3 times :) Anyway hope you liked this installment of the A to Z Challenge. See you tomorrow!

T for The Hunger Games #AtoZChallenge

Wow I can't believe we are on the T for the A to Z Challenge!!! It's getting close to ending soon, wow this month has truly flown by so quickly. I am looking forward to a lovely spring and wonderful summer, especially going to the Drive In, yeah an actual drive in, do you still go to those, I just recently discovered actual drive-ins over here in Massachusetts, so it's a real treat. When I lived in California, we (our family) used to go to the drive-in every Friday growing up, it was such a treat I tell you.

Well speaking of drive-ins and movies, today's film is The Hunger Games, now I haven't seen it yet, I have the book and still haven't read it, shame on me lol. But I really need to get on the ball and read it, as it's not a very long book, I'm excited to read it first. Ok so moving on, what is this film about?

In a dystopian future, the totalitarian nation of Panem is divided between 12 districts and the Capitol. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal retribution for a past rebellion, the televised games are broadcast throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors while the citizens of Panem are required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss's young sister, Prim, is selected as District 12's female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart Peeta, are pitted against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives.

I really need to get on the ball and read this book, because I'm really excited to watch the film! Anyway that's it for me for today, have a good one everyone.

Freebies! Getting Something For Nothing Is Awesome!

I love to get freebies, free stuff, even product samples, why? It's a good way to try things out, instead of buying something full size. Imagine buying something that's expensive, and when you try it you don't like it? What do you do with it? Obviously still use it, well if its detergent or stuff like that, but if it was like lotion or perfume, yuck I wouldn't keep using it, I would give it away. So what better way to get free samples than free samples by mail 2012 or websites that give free samples away such as www.freecatcher.com, they have some awesome samples and freebies there. Oh and who don't like a free movie now and then. Blockbuster gives away a free rental now and then, and what about free movie downloads? Yeah some are actually legally, look at Youtube for instance, they let you watch free movies, some are old, but hey they are free *wink*

So I popped on over to these websites, found some cool stuff, and now I'm watching a film on Youtube called American Zombie, it's a silly movie, but I was curious as to what kind of tihngs you can find on Youtube. Well all-free-samples.com is more of a directory that has links to various websites that offer free samples and freebies, and you know freebies include full sizes? Yay I love it
