X is for X-Men: First Class #AtoZChallenge

It's almost over, oh em gee, what am I going to do? Lol. I've got use to posting every day, now I don't know if I will keep that up, but we'll see. I have to say it gives me time to do other things that I need to do, so that's why I don't post every day. I have other websites that I need to tend to, and this month has been very stressful lol, with having to post everyday here.

So let's move on, today is the one of the last days of the A to Z Challenge. I have selected X-Men: First Class, I really enjoyed this film, what film don't I like, I don't think I would post about something I don't like, but hey anything is possible. I've followed this series of films and have always loved them. The costumes are so amazing, and what a great story line too hey? So what's this about you ask? If you haven't watched them, I would suggest watching them from the first film, I'll link them all here X-Men, X2, X-Men: Last Stand, X-Men: Wolverine, and then the film in this post :), there you go, you have a lot to catch up on if you haven't watched them!

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN

There you go, awesome hey? You know what comic book I'm looking forward to seeing come out in a film? Wonder Woman, there was a T.V. show in the 70's/80's, I did watch some when I was little and always loved it, always loved Lynda Carter, she was the perfect Wonder Woman, I don't know if anyone can fill her shoes though. Anyway that's this edition of the A to Z Challenge, I hope you all have a great weekend, and I'll see you tomorrrow.

W is for Water for Elephants #AtoZChallenge

Oh this is one film I have yet to see as well. I remember it being advertised, and though awe Robert Pattinson is in it, I want to see it, but then again it's a love story and I'm not too crazy about them, but I heard so many good things about it, that I really do want to see it now. I was actually on GetGlue.com when I seen it first advertised, I love that website, you get real stickers there too, I got a large collection of stickers, anyway, yeah I seen it there, and got a sticker for the film, and really that's where I first seen the trailer for the film. So if you seen it, let me know if you really liked it, okay? On to the storyline.

After his parents' death, Jacob Jankowski (Robert Pattinson) is left penniless and homeless. Events lead him to joining the circus as their vet, working under their unstable boss August (Christoph Waltz) whose violent tendencies give everyone reason to be cautious around him, including his beautiful and quiet wife Marlena (Reese Witherspoon), whom August is very possessive of and who Jacob finds himself soon falling in love with.

I know this is short, it's late, need to go and have dinner and all, but that is this edition of the A to Z Challenge, we are not that long off until we finish. I can't believe it's going to be over, I have discovered many new blogs that I hope I get to visit on a more regular basis. Thanks for stopping by, have a great rest of the week!

V for Vendetta, My #AtoZChallenge for Today!

I remember when I first heard about this film from a friend, and I wasn't too excited about it, so I put it off to watch, as I have a list of must watch films, and a list of films I'll watch if nothing else is interesting to watch, or I'm just plain bored hehe. When I finally got around to watching this film, I was surprised to really have enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I even told myself, why did I put this off, why didn't I give this a chance, well I never was able to answer myself, but at least I got to watch a really good film. If you havne't seen it, then read up, on what this is about, it's a really interesting story, and I know you will be wondering how it ended.

I know the synopsis is rather long, but for those that haven't really seen this film, it's really interesting to know why V does what he does :) Be sure to watch the YouTube trailer.

Against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, a young working-class woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked man known only as "V." Profoundly complex, V (Hugo Weaving) is at once literary, flamboyant, tender and intellectual, a man dedicated to freeing his fellow citizens from those who have terrorized them into compliance. He is also bitter, revenge-seeking, lonely and violent, driven by a personal vendetta. In his quest to free the people of England from the corruption and cruelty that have poisoned their government, V condemns the tyrannical nature of their appointed leaders and invites his fellow citizens to join him in the shadows of Parliament of November the 5th--Guy Fawkes Day. On that day in 1605, Guy Fawkes was discovered in a tunnel beneath Parliament with 36 barrels of gunpowder. He and his co-conspirators had engineered the treasonous "Gunpowder Plot" in response to the tyranny of their government under James I. Fawkes and his fellow saboteurs were hanged, drawn and quartered, and their plan to take down their government never came to pass. In the spirit of that rebellion, in remembrance of that day, V vows to carry out the plot that Fawkes was executed for attempting on November 5th in 1605: he will blow up Parliament. As Evey uncovers the truth about V's mysterious past, she also discovers the truth about herself--and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plan to ignite a revolution, bringing freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption.

Until seeing the trailer again, I had forgotten how brilliant this film is, although not part of my DVD collection, I think I will get it, and if I could find the mask, I would so put it up on my wall, it's such an awesome mask :), Hope you enjoyed this edition of the A to Z Challenge! Have a great week!
