Sleeplessness Can Put You In A Bad Mood

Great so since I can't really sleep, I thought I'd come on and write a post and moan about it =\ If there is one thing that really irritates me is those nights which I cannot get to sleep, you can watch so much boring TV shows!! And on top of that heartburn too, UGH!! So I'm thinking what's tomorrow going to be like? Probably ruin my whole day, of course I will try not to let that happen, as I have (as usual) so many things to do. I probably could do some now since I can't sleep. Good idea Emily *pats self on back* I really thought tonight I was going to sleep good, but then when it came down to that hour when I say, 'Ok TV off, and sleep time' nothing happened, I lay there and all I do is blink my eyes, wondering why I don't dose off.

Okay well enough complaining about that, I do have some coupons I need to cut out, and trash expired ones. I don't use as many coupons now, because we have an abundant of things that I used the coupons for, so I am just kind of eyeing things I need, and don't need excess of. Sometimes I think to myself and wonder why I don't get more coupons of things I eally would like to save money on, like meats, fresh vegetables and fruits, but no luck there. Ahh well, I guess that's how it is sometimes. I do love to save though, and it's is getting to that time when I will be doing a little shopping, but it'll just be going to a craft store, see what they have as far as supplies to do nails, like glitters, decorations, baggies, just a bunch of random stuff like that. I've been told they have some super great prices there!

As I mentioned yesterday, oops I mean the day before, I am waiting on some supplies, and I was thinking or that is I realised that the Nail Trainer website didn't send me much supplies really, just yesterday I thought to myself, I have no acrylic powder lol, that is too funny, because I can't believe I actually didn't notice that. So I ordered some off of ebay, and I have to say I got some really great stuff there, when I think of it, and I can be wrong, isn't acrylic powder essentially all the same? Same chemicals and so on? I have heard of organic acrylic powder, or is there such a thing. Just gives me more to research on. I'm currently seeking out a table to do my work on, and I think I may have found one, a used one but what looks to be in good condition, more about that later.

Ok well since I'm not tired yet, think I'll go browse around a bit. Have a super great day!

Learning To Do Acrylic Nails Will Be Fun!

Well I certainly didn't expect to start May with showers, those are suppose to be for April only hehe. I really didn't expect it to rain today, then again I didn't watch a lot of the news, so I guess that is a bit of a surprise. Currently they have been installing new roof on the entire complex, this past week it was so super loud, but I am happy they moved on to another part of the complex, so we don't have to deal with that noise, we couldn't even leave the house without being escorted, they said they didn't want things falling on us which is understandable.

So this past month was full of posts of A to Z I am so glad that is over with. I just felt so pressured to have to do a post everyday, but in some ways I'm glad I did go through with it and didn't quit before the actual challenge ended. I did discover quite a few great blogs I have to add. There were so many people participating, you just couldn't get to them all. That would of been a chore in itself.

I was talking with a friend of mine that is going to teach herself to do her acrylic nails at home, and I thought I would give that a try. I used to go to he salon and get my nails done regularly years ago, but with the way things are, money being tight, it was a luxury I choose to give up. So after talking to my friend a few times about it, I jumped on the bandwagon, and I'm so thrilled, really exited because then I can do my own nails too. I really couldn't afford to go to a school and do the training because it's quite expensive, so that's why I went the route to do at home.

I looked around online, came across a system I can use called Nail Trainer, at first I wasn't sure, but did more research on it, and decided to go with it. It wasn't very expensive, but I did have to get a lof ot my own supplies which I could find on Ebay or a few other websites like Naio.co.uk. I ordered my kit and it arrived, I did inventory, and later realised I need to buy a few more items that don't come included in the kit, like extra nails, nail files, buffer blocks, etc

That's pretty much what the kit comes with, they have different sizes, bigger ones obviously cost more, but I'd rather pay this than thousands of dollars to realise I don't like doing nails hehe. So I thought it was a good investment. It includes various DVDs, my complaint them is they are not necessarily outdated, but I would think these were done in like the 80's, I have yet to see if the information is accurate, again I didn't go to school, so who am I to know if it's accurate or not. But from various resources I realised that it seems pretty basic, it's the technique that you have to master, dipping a brush into liquid and then powder isn't that hard right? Sure it isn't it's just knowing how to wipe your brush so it's not too wet or too dry. Like I said, it's a skill you need to practice, to master.

So from time to time I will give updates on how that training is going, and post some pictures of my progress, like my very first acrylic nail woo, I'm really excited to get started, I'm still waiting on some supplies I ordered. I got some from Ebay and since they are coming from China/Hong Kong, it takes some days possible a week for it to arrive, but it's worth the wait. Ok well I think that's all for now. Stay safe out there if it's raining in your area, and Happy May everyone!

Y is for Young Adult #AtoZChallenge

Woo getting closer to the end, I keep saying that don't I? Well it's just to remind you I won't be doing any films unless it's something I really really want to share, then I will. Anyway, yesterday I had said that I wouldn't post about a film I didn't like, so I decided I would, especially because it was hard for me to find a film starting with a Y and I had put this film on my list in case I couldn't come up with anything else.

I am a long time fan of Charlize Theron, I love that woman to bits, I tell you. And I always, always watch her films. Well I watched Young Adult a few months ago, and I wasn't happy with what I seen. I was so very very disappointed in the film. I actually thought it would be on the comedy side, but instead it was on the depressing side. I was fooled lol. But as I said, I watch anything she is in, because I am such a big fan, even if I don't like the role she plays, which I didn't in this particular film. Although on her defense I have to say that, it's good for her to do roles in which we (the fans) wouldn't normally see her in or like her in, so yeah. So what's this film about.

Mavis Gary (Charlize Theron), once the high school 'It Girl', now an alcoholic divorcee who writes a soon to be canceled young adult fiction series, takes the decision to return to her childhood home in Minnesota. There she embarks on a plan to win back her former sweetheart, Buddy (Patrick Wilson). The fact that Buddy is now married with a baby doesn't dissuade her. Along the way, she forms a bond with Matt Freehauf (Patton Oswalt), another former classmate, who has been left disabled by a beating he took from a bunch of jocks.
