Are Carnival's A Scam? Want To Know How To Win??

So I'm sure we all have been to a Carnival or Festival in our lives, and if you haven't you got the upper hand after reading this post hehe. Anyway for those of you who have attended you know that some of those games at the carnival/festivals are hard to beat, aren't they? Yeah I have to admit I have tried a few and failed badly, but not because I suck at it, but because those dang games are fixed!! Yeah not surprising hey? So let me tell you how you can beat them. I was reading the readers digest the other day, and found some cool tips that I am passing on to you!

The Balloon Dart Throw
The Scam: Sure, the darts are dull, but they are also much lighter than the normal ones you'd find in a bar. And the balloon are underinflated, which makes them harder to pop.
The Strategy: Don't hurl the darts straight for the balloons. Instead, loft them in an arc for a better chance of catching a balloon.

Milk Bottle Pyramid
The Scam: You want to aim for the dead center of the stack of milk bottles, don't you? The trouble is, the bottom bottles are weighted. So if you follow your instinct, and hit the tops, they'll never fall over.
The Strategy: Ignore your noggin, and aim for the base of the bottom two bottles. Let the applause wash over you!

The Basketball Shoot
The Scam: When it comes to playing tricks, the carnival is second most to the Harlem Globetrotters. The rims are smaller than regulation size, and are shaped like ovals, the backboards are super bouncy, the balls are overinflated, and the hoop is often higher than normal.
The Strategy: Swallow your pride, and shoot underhand. A ball that arcs in for a swish will slip past the crooked rim.

Pretty interesting stuff hey? But even knowing this, we still like going to them Carnivals and Festivals!! I know I do, regardless of the scammed games, I love going! And look forward to it each year, I'm such a sucker!

My Nail Supply Collection Is Growing

I am really happy about getting my nail collection sorted, I like finding the things I will be using at really reasonable prices. Like from ebay, they have hoards of great stuff, and really super low prices, coming from like Hong Kong, China, it's incredible, most of them are free shipping too. So you know I pick up quite a bit there. On occasion I got to Michaels or Jo-Ann's and get stuff on sale, and yes I do buy reg priced items, but hey I try to use 40% off coupons when I can. From what I have seen, it's been 40% on one item which is really great, because I find stuff on sale, so I already am getting a discount, over all I have been very happy.

What I would like to do next, is get acrylic powders and liquids from different companies and test them out and see how they are. As I had said before I started with less expensive product coming from China/Hong Kong, which is a good starter, as you learn technique, and I suppose learning powder/liquid ratio's is what's important. That is something I need practice at. Since I have a good supply of other things such as nail decorations, glitters, nail tips, I don't have a lot of nail polishes, but that collection will grow too. I have my own nail table, which was a good buy, and storage containers. So I'm relatively happy. My awesome boyfriend bought me a new drill, because the one I bought wasn't that great, so it's a little back up one.

So what I need to do now, is practice, practice, practice. William did offer to put me through school, but I told him that I would like to do something else first, because I felt it was more important, and plus the cost of school was outrageous lol. So for now, I need to get that other thing done. I said I was going to do it over the weekend but didn't. Not sure what came up. But I do need to get to it, better make a note about it. Ok there, hopefully I can do those top 3 things first. I took a couple of snap shots for you to see some of what I have, and what I got today :)

I have 2 triple stack containers on the table, and some things like what you see on that photo that I just got today, that I need to put away, but everything is finding it's place, so I'm happy about that. The room is looking less and less messy, and that makes Emily happy, and William above all hehe.

So that's about all for now. Hope you all are having a good day. See you later.

Suddenly I Couldn't Sleep, What Gives?!

I really don't know why I can't sleep. We went shopping yesterday, so I know I was tired from that. Can you be so tired that you can't sleep? Seems like that happened to me. I watched a few YouTube videos and then felt very sleepy, but then since I had been laying on my side, my shoulder was hurting, so I laid back on my back, and nothing, so I turned to one side .. nothing, then on my tummy .. and when I felt I was going to sleep, a part of my body jerked, and it wakes me, don't you just hate that? Seriously my brain must be on over drive or something, it's not letting me sleep, or is it? Because I don't feel myself really thinking? Hah, who does? Do you?

Anyway, I hate when this happens, funny thing it happened to William too. So I came into the other room, so he can sleep but he can't seem to sleep either. He usually turns on the TV so he can fall asleep. He gets SO grouchy, I tend to stay away from him. But I know if I'm not in bed, I guess it kind of bothers him too. It's one of those things, you can't sleep unless everyone is in their place? Do you know what I mean?

A new week is upon us, and so is a new month. The weather was so beautiful yesterday, I was hot, we had an ice coffee, that's how hot it was. We went to a few stores, he needed new boots, and I wanted to check out somethings at Michaels and Dollar Tree. There was one specific thing I really wanted from Dollar Tree but I didn't find any. If I do manage to find it, I'll share what it is. I know I'm all secretive aren't I. It's not really a big deal, but I don't have the exact name of it lol, or I would tell ya ;) I checked on William, he's sitting up, and he just turned on the TV.

He's been a bit strange lately. I don't know, I'm a bit worried, perhaps that is what has me up? I know he's stressed out, about work, his mother, his sister. I don't like that he has to carry others burdens on his shoulders, they aren't really burdens, but I guess emotional ones? He's a great guy, that is just the way he is, he wants everyone to be happy. I'm glad he's like that, but sometimes I feel that, when he has too much on his mind, he will tend to be grouchier around me :( Yeah makes me sad. I kind of felt it today all day as we were out. I even said to him, we could go home early, but he said no that the store was just up the street, so I agreed, we got some good buys there :) Glad he said to go anyway.

Alright then, I'm going back to bed, if he is still grouchy I'm coming back, watch a film or something, maybe some more YouTube videos you know? Hope you all have a great week.
